For a solar eclipse to occur, the sun, moon, and Earth must be aligned. This is a very rare and mystical event.
We observe how the sun is completely obscured by the moon. Bright day suddenly turns dark. Solar eclipses were considered signs of divine powers in antiquity and up until the early modern period.
